The Services are operated by AfterShe, Inc., a Delaware corporation ("AfterShe," "we," "us," or "our"). AfterShe is an online entertainment platform that provides original serialized video dramas and related interactive features, including user accounts, comments, likes, and content updates.
By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
The Services are intended only for users who are 18 years of age or older. Persons under 18 may not use or register for the Services.

1. The Services
AfterShe provides entertainment content and related interactive features. The availability, selection, release schedule, presentation, and functionality of content may change over time.
Some content may contain mature themes or material intended for adults. You are responsible for determining whether particular content is appropriate for you.
We may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features or content at any time. We do not guarantee that any particular episode, series, feature, or other content will remain available for any specific period.
If we later introduce paid features, purchases, or subscriptions, additional terms presented at the time of purchase may apply.
You are responsible for complying with laws that apply to you when accessing the Services from your location. Nothing in these Terms is intended to waive or limit any mandatory consumer right that cannot lawfully be waived under applicable law.
2. Accounts
You may need an account to use certain features.
You agree to provide accurate information and to keep information associated with your account reasonably current. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account, login credentials, and authentication methods and for activity conducted through your account to the extent permitted by law.
If you use a third-party authentication provider, such as Google or another sign-in provider we may support, your use of that provider is also subject to the provider's applicable terms and policies.
You may not sell, transfer, rent, or otherwise provide your account to another person. You may not impersonate another person or create an account using materially false information.
We may remove, reclaim, or require changes to a username that infringes another person's rights, impersonates another person, is unlawful, or is otherwise inappropriate for the Services.
3. Our Intellectual Property
The Services and the content made available by AfterShe or its licensors—including video, audio, text, graphics, artwork, characters, stories, scripts, software, interfaces, designs, logos, trademarks, and other materials ("AfterShe Content")—are owned by or licensed to AfterShe and are protected by intellectual property and other applicable laws.
Subject to these Terms, AfterShe grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and view AfterShe Content through the Services for your personal, non-commercial entertainment use.
Except as expressly permitted by the Services or by us in writing, you may not:
- copy, record, download, reproduce, distribute, republish, transmit, sell, license, publicly perform, or publicly display AfterShe Content;
- circumvent or interfere with technical restrictions, access controls, digital rights management, or security features;
- systematically scrape, extract, index, or collect AfterShe Content or data from the Services;
- use AfterShe Content or the Services to train, fine-tune, evaluate, or develop an artificial intelligence or machine-learning model without our prior written permission; or
- use AfterShe Content for commercial purposes without our prior written permission.
Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of AfterShe Content or our trademarks to you.
Requests for permission may be sent to team@aftershe.com.
4. User Content
The Services may allow users to post text-based content such as comments, messages, profile information, or other material ("User Content").
You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights you hold in your User Content.
By posting User Content, you grant AfterShe a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, display, transmit, and otherwise use that User Content only as reasonably necessary to operate, provide, secure, moderate, and improve the Services and to make the User Content available to other users as directed by the functionality of the Services.
This license lasts for as long as the User Content remains on the Services and for a reasonable period afterward in backups, logs, or archival systems. We may also retain or use User Content to the extent reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce these Terms, resolve disputes, or protect legal rights.
You represent that you have the rights necessary to post your User Content and to grant the license above.
Do not post User Content that:
- infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights of another person;
- is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful, or discriminatory;
- contains sexually explicit material, exploitation of minors, or other unlawful sexual content;
- promotes violence or credible threats of harm;
- contains another person's private or sensitive information without authorization;
- contains malware, malicious code, spam, or unauthorized advertising or solicitation; or
- otherwise violates these Terms or applicable law.
We may remove, restrict, or moderate User Content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, creates risk for users or the Services, or is otherwise inappropriate for the Services.
5. Feedback
If you voluntarily send us suggestions, ideas, comments, or other feedback about the Services ("Feedback"), you grant us a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free right to use, modify, disclose, and incorporate that Feedback into our products and services without compensation or obligation to you.
This section applies to Feedback about the Services and does not transfer ownership of ordinary User Content such as comments posted for other users to read.
6. Prohibited Activities
You may not use the Services to:
- violate any applicable law or regulation;
- infringe or misappropriate another person's intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights;
- harass, threaten, abuse, defraud, impersonate, or intentionally mislead another person;
- send spam, unauthorized advertising, chain messages, or commercial solicitations;
- advertise or offer goods or services for sale unless expressly permitted by us;
- sell, transfer, or traffic in user accounts;
- upload, transmit, or distribute malware, malicious code, or other material designed to disrupt or compromise systems;
- interfere with or impose an unreasonable burden on the Services or related networks;
- bypass, disable, defeat, or interfere with security, access controls, geographic restrictions, or content-protection measures;
- use bots, scripts, scrapers, crawlers, automated account creation, or other automated means to access or interact with the Services except for ordinary browser functionality, standard public search-engine indexing, or uses expressly authorized by us;
- collect usernames, email addresses, or other user information for unsolicited communications or unauthorized profiling;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble software used in the Services except to the limited extent such restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
- copy, record, download, redistribute, or otherwise exploit streamed content except as expressly permitted by us; or
- use the Services or AfterShe Content to create a competing content library, database, service, or commercial product without our permission.
Criticism, reviews, opinions, and good-faith complaints about AfterShe or the Services are not prohibited merely because they are negative.
7. Copyright Complaints
We respect the intellectual property rights of others.
If you believe material available through the Services infringes copyright that you own or are authorized to enforce, send a copyright complaint to team@aftershe.com.
To help us evaluate the complaint, please include:
- identification of the copyrighted work you believe has been infringed;
- identification and location of the material you believe is infringing;
- your name and contact information;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner; and
- your physical or electronic signature.
We may remove or restrict access to material while reviewing a complaint and may take appropriate action regarding repeat or serious infringement.
8. Service Management and Enforcement
We may, but are not obligated to, monitor use of the Services for compliance with these Terms.
We may take reasonable steps to protect the Services, our users, our content, and our legal rights, including restricting access, removing User Content, suspending accounts, blocking abusive activity, preserving relevant records, or reporting conduct to appropriate authorities when reasonably necessary or required by law.
Our decision not to enforce a provision in one instance does not waive our right to enforce it later.
9. Privacy
Our collection, use, disclosure, and protection of personal information are described in our Privacy Policy.
The Privacy Policy is separate from these Terms and applies according to its own provisions.
10. Third-Party Services and Links
The Services may contain links to or integrations with third-party websites, platforms, authentication providers, or other services.
We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices. Your use of a third-party service may be governed by separate terms and policies provided by that third party.
11. Suspension, Termination, and Account Closure
These Terms remain in effect while you use the Services.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Services or an account when we reasonably believe it is necessary to:
- enforce these Terms;
- protect users, AfterShe, or third parties;
- address fraud, abuse, security risks, or unlawful activity;
- comply with legal obligations or lawful requests; or
- protect the integrity or operation of the Services.
We may also discontinue the Services or particular features for legitimate business reasons.
Where required by applicable law, we will provide notice or other rights before taking an action.
You may stop using the Services at any time. Requests relating to access, correction, deletion, or other privacy rights may be submitted through https://www.aftershe.com/privacy-request.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including provisions concerning intellectual property, Feedback, disputes, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and general legal terms—will survive.
12. Changes to the Services and These Terms
We may update the Services and these Terms from time to time.
When we update these Terms, we will revise the Effective Date at the top of this page. Unless applicable law requires additional notice or consent, the revised Terms become effective when posted.
If applicable law requires additional notice, consent, or other steps for a material change, we will take those steps.
Your continued use of the Services after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
13. Governing Law
These Terms and your use of the Services are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
This choice of law does not deprive you of mandatory consumer protections or other rights that cannot lawfully be waived under the laws applicable to you.
The arbitration agreement in Section 14 is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act to the extent applicable.
14. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
PLEASE READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY. IT AFFECTS YOUR LEGAL RIGHTS, INCLUDING YOUR RIGHT TO GO TO COURT AND HAVE A JURY DECIDE CERTAIN CLAIMS.
14.1 Informal Resolution
Before starting arbitration, either party must first give the other written notice of the dispute and make a good-faith effort to resolve it informally for at least 30 days.
Notices to AfterShe may be sent to team@aftershe.com or to the mailing address in Section 20. The notice should describe the nature of the dispute and the relief requested.
14.2 Binding Arbitration
If a dispute is not resolved through the informal process, either party may require the dispute to be resolved by binding arbitration, except for disputes excluded below.
For disputes involving an individual consumer, arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules in effect when the arbitration is filed. For disputes that do not qualify as consumer disputes, the applicable AAA rules will govern.
The arbitration may be conducted by documents, telephone, videoconference, or another method permitted by the applicable AAA rules. If an in-person hearing is required, it will take place in King County, Washington, unless the applicable AAA rules or applicable law require a different location.
Arbitration fees and arbitrator compensation will be allocated under the applicable AAA rules and applicable law. AfterShe will pay fees that it is required to pay under those rules or law and will pay arbitration costs deemed excessive for a consumer where required for the arbitration agreement to be enforceable.
The arbitrator may award any remedy that would be available to the individual party in court, subject to applicable law and these Terms.
14.3 Small Claims Court
Either party may bring an eligible individual claim in small claims court instead of arbitration.
14.4 Individual Proceedings; Class Action Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by law, disputes must be brought on an individual basis and not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, collective, consolidated, or representative proceeding.
If applicable law does not permit this restriction for a particular claim or remedy, that claim or remedy will proceed in the forum required by applicable law.
14.5 Exceptions
The arbitration requirement does not apply to:
- an eligible individual small-claims action;
- a claim seeking to protect or enforce intellectual property rights;
- a claim concerning unauthorized access, theft, piracy, or misuse of the Services; or
- a request for temporary or preliminary injunctive relief where such relief is legally available.
14.6 Court Proceedings
If a dispute is not subject to arbitration, or if the arbitration requirement is found unenforceable for that dispute, the parties agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state or federal courts located in King County, Washington, except where applicable law gives a consumer the right to bring a claim in another forum.
15. Disclaimers
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE."
We do not guarantee that the Services will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or free from harmful components, or that any specific content or feature will remain available.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We are not responsible for third-party services, websites, or content merely because they are linked to or accessible through the Services.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AfterShe and its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or data, arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the aggregate liability of AfterShe and the persons described above for all claims arising out of or relating to the Services or these Terms will not exceed US$100.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded, and nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer right or remedy.
17. Indemnification
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless AfterShe and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from third-party claims, liabilities, damages, and reasonable costs arising from:
- User Content you post;
- your material breach of these Terms;
- your unlawful misuse of the Services; or
- your infringement or violation of another person's rights.
This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from AfterShe's own unlawful conduct, negligence, or breach of these Terms.
We may assume control of the defense of a claim subject to indemnification, and you agree to reasonably cooperate with that defense.
18. Electronic Communications
You agree that we may provide communications relating to the Services electronically, including through the Services or by email, where permitted by law.
Electronic communications may satisfy legal requirements that a communication be in writing to the extent permitted by applicable law.
This section does not waive any right that applicable law does not permit you to waive.
19. California Users and Residents
If you are a California resident and a consumer complaint is not satisfactorily resolved, you may contact the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Consumer Information Center:
1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N-112
Sacramento, CA 95834
United States
Telephone: 800-952-5210
Nothing in this section limits any other right or remedy available under applicable law.
20. General Terms
These Terms, together with any policies or supplemental terms expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement between you and AfterShe concerning the Services.
If any provision of these Terms is found unlawful or unenforceable, that provision will be enforced to the maximum extent permitted and the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision.
We are not liable for delay or failure caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
You may not assign or transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, sale of assets, or other lawful transfer of our business or Services.
These Terms do not create a partnership, joint venture, employment, agency, fiduciary, or franchise relationship between you and AfterShe.
Headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
